So why am I selling it Well, as mentioned before, it doesnt get played and its just taking up storage space in a house which is becoming more like a music shop as the years go by. The piezo pickup is powered by the 9v P3 battery that is housed in a container within the soundhole, the volume and tone control. Its currently strung with Martin lights (.012 -.054) which suits the guitar well. Its a deep bowl round-backed instrument with wonderful sound projection (it sounds substantially louder from the front than from the players position). There is only one tiny dink on the belly of the guitar, around 4 inches below the left corner of the bridge, but I emphasise it is tiny and has no effect whatsoever on the playability or the beauty of the instrument.Р”Р„ good French polisher would be able to remove it, but I have preferred to leave it as it is. I have been assured by many experts that these were the best Ovations ever to be built and this particular instrument is in beautiful condition.
